Final Design for my Painting Class

The title of the painting is " The Blossom of the Opera ". The reason why i put this as my title is because the name of the dancer i called “Ah hua”,when they called her name, they think of her nice and charming smile, just like the growing blossom in the garden. When her fans call “Ah hua”, they think of her beauty and attractive image, just like the flowering blossom on the stage of Chinese opera. 

The final composition i done with the blossom background and the beijing opera dancer is because i want to create a very soft and a romantic feel. The reason why i use pink as my major color is because the color of Pink represents femininity. We also often connect it with romance, love, friendship harmony, compassion, relaxation and companionship. Pink is symbolic of gentle emotions and of emotional unions. Pink is considered a color of good health and life. A pink flower also means "I will never forget you" just like people will remember her charming smile and her beauty. Through this assignment i learnt how to manipulate the ideas, color and the composition. Although the painting part make me quite frustrated but is a good experience for me.

Two Print ads about the "BOXOUT" campaign

 This is about Life is a puzzle... choose the right puzzle for your life. It's mean try to know more peoples and play with other peoples instead of just staying at home playing computer game.

The color full puzzle is mean peoples and fun. besides that there are only one black puzzle and dun fit inside the colorful puzzle. It's mean the people don't want to play or know other people. He just want to stay in his own world.

Movie : Water for Elephant

I went for a movie last few days and is a romantic movie.The movie is about a veterinary student abandons his studies after his parents are killed and joins a traveling circus as their vet. This movie is quite nice... for me at least but some of my friend no really love it.

Container as Content

In the definition of container is the object that can be used to hold things, esp for transport or storage, such as a carton, box, etc. So in my mind, "Container as Content" is like a pack of sweet.... the packaging is the container and the sweets inside is the content. Am i right?

Murphy's law Design

Franky speaking, i not really understand what is  Murphy's design and i have read through from the internet, as i know Murphy's design is seem like '' anything can go wrong then it will go wrong ''. That's what i know from the internet. For examples, the time you need to launch a new site like yesterday, will be the one time it takes the whole 48 hours for the domain name to resolve. It's sound funny....

Precedent studies for painting

Lecturer asked us to paint our own religion's traditional dance. So i picked "Chinese Opera" as my topic and i found some interesting picture.

Internship

After had an internship briefing, i starting to worry about the job, resume and portfolio, because all of this i still in the process and i have no idea how to create an online portfolio and the resume. It's really make me frustrated!

MI Campaign Design

This is the Final Logo and our topic is about asking people to live outside the box and we name our campaign name as " BOXOUT"

Precedent studies about Box Out Logo. and this is one of our MI assignment, it is to design a campaign and our topic is about asking people to live outside the box.

 

This is one of the concept i looking for, it’s
like come out from the box. It used the
foot steps to show that it walking out
from the box.

 

A very simple design, but using the box layout to
show that it is a box and it's like you are free from 

the box.

I take this as my
refference because
it’s like something fly
out from the box.
For example,
freedom, happy,
and so on.

Especially the entrance. The
colors is contras and the shapes
are special.

like a truck container. It
is very special.

 It design like a theme. and it wont look boring but

This look a bit confuse because all of them is using different fonts and colors.

Week 1 : Directional Design

This is the directory board that i took in the genting. The design of this board is quite easy to understand because there are some icons to guide people how to go to the places they want and the icons are understandable. For examples, If you want to go Arena of Stars you need to turn right and go down by the elevator.
But the only bad thing i think is there are too many words and it is hard to see the place that you want to go, even some of the place they used the logo to represent but it's quite small for some people who has eyes problem or old peoples.
